Prime Minister Vladimir Putin's United Russia party candidate for president Thursday launched pre-election manifesto campaign website, putin2012.ru. In an attempt to win the third presidential term, Putin promised increased pensions and wages, and the creation of special courts to function most exposed to corruption.
"We will create an effective civilian control of state activities in areas most vulnerable to corruption: State purchases, utilities, construction of roads and public order," Putin said in the manifesto or quoted by RIA Novosti.
In economic terms, Putin said that its strategic objective is doubling productivity over the next decade. The current prime minister said he would also aim to increase energy efficiency area that "Russia is behind many great powers."
Putin promised to modernize the armed forces and by using advanced technology and improving training standards.
